Although L has been going to Montessori half-time this summer, the first day of school yesterday was a big deal. She got to pack a lunch (which she didn't eat) and wear a newish dress. So far, so good, and it's definitely quieter around the house between the hours of 8:45 and 2:45.

I thought all kids had breakdowns on the first day of school. She looks joyous.
